2009 Irminic Calendars
These are user-friendly, (black and white) illustrated, and very
detailed calendars that present
both the Gregorian-common and Irminic-lunar reckonings within a layout
that is easy to follow and which allows for the greatest understanding of
the placement of the holy tides and the relationship of those tides to the
respective months and seasons in which they fall. Reckonings include
Irminic-lunar month names, Germanic-Gregorian month names (d.h., Gilbhart,
Ostermond, usw.), and the Gregorian adaptations used in many Ásatrú
settings (d.h., Fogmoon, Snowmoon, usw.). Days of the week are provided in
their common renderings, as well as Modern German and (normalized) Old
High German. A complete listing of celestial phenomena is included for
each month, as well as explanations of particular dates of note and holy
tides. Calendars come with a description of the layout (for greatest ease
of use) and a limited pronunciation guide of Old High German terminologies
employed within the reckoning.

- Germanic Heathenry: A Practical Guide
-
-

- James Hjuka Coulter {AuthorHouse}
ISBN: 1-4107-6586-7 (paperback) //1-4107-6584-9 (hardback)
...THE essential volume on authentic Germanic Heathenry / Irminenschaft!
In the words of C. Dean Andersson (author of the Bloodsong trilogy):
"Coulter's book contains practical information that can be read, used, and
enjoyed by anyone with the will and desire to learn and understand. But it
is unlike any other book on Northern Lore and Germanic Heathenry I have
previously read. The breadth and depth of the research and knowledge
Coulter brings to bear is extensive and impressive. The glossary alone
makes it worthy of serious attention. I would compare this book to others
on the subject as an advanced college course to a junior high
introduction."

Heathen Timekeeping: An Examination of
the Germanic Heathen Lunar Reckoning
James Hjuka Coulter {Irminen-Gesellschaft}
This work was originally penned in 1998, expanded and annotated for its 1999
printing. Heathen Timekeeping explores Heathen month ordering and naming in
this slim but detailed volume. Includes a look into the Icelandic reckoning
recorded by Snorri, the Anglo-Saxon reckoning as recorded by Bede,
Charlemagne's adaptation, and more... great for a comparative look into the
ordering of Lunar months in pre-Christian Europe!

The
Crimes of Jehovah
Mark Mirabello, Ph.D. {See Sharp Press}
ISBN: 1-884365-13-2
This 34-page, digest-sized booklet illustrates -through a collection of
directly quoted examples from the Bible- the dark, cruel, and often sinister
nature of the 'God of Love', as well as the utter barbarism of his early
adepts... a rather illuminating work for pondering, and a good point of
reference.

German: How to Speak and Write It
Joseph
Rosenberg {BN Publishing}
This is a reprint of an updated 1962 grammar, and comes with 330
illustrations (great, old photos and 1950's „Modern" line-drawings)... in the
days before Rosetta Stone, this book stood as an „immersion" course into the
language (the illustrations are employed as a very effective teaching tool)...
it's easy to follow, and packed with info. Good for students of any level,
novices will certainly appreciate the manner in which the language is
presented. ...each chapter includes exercises and vocabulary tables... some
chapters also include sentence-building tables and lists of expressions. Early
chapters include easy-to-follow phonetic guides.
„ ...Working on the principle that a person learns more quickly by example
than by rule, the author has put together a book that abounds in immediately
usable German sentences and phrases on a wide variety of subjects.“

Like the Hammers below, the Irminsuls we offer are crafted by Jafnbjörn -a
skilled, Heathen woodworker and member of the Irminen-Gesellschaft.
The Irminsul as shown is carved from butternut wood, and measures ten
inches by ten inches, and just under a full inch in thickness. They are
treated with Tung Oil, and finished with a combination of Carnauba and Bees
Wax.
Designed to hang flush on the wall (or any smooth, flat surface for that
matter), they are provided with a centered notch
on the reverse that is carefully grooved in such a a way as to grip around the
head of a nail or screw for a most secured setting.
Each Irminsul is uniquely carved, not mass-produced. They
are crafted-on-demand, and ship directly from the artisan.
Please allow at least 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.
Customized design and wood-choice (to a reasonable extent) are possible, but an additional
time allotment and additional charges may be required. Custom inquiries

Rune-Sets
Our Rune-sets are made from quality kiln-dried hardwoods (this prevents
the wood from cracking / splitting, and ensures durability).
The tines are hand-cut by Jafnbjörn, and the Runic glyphs are ceremoniously
set and magically loaded by Hjuka.
Each finished set comes with a natural-finish, drawstring pouch made from
jute and a white (linen) casting cloth.
The runic needs of our Folk are as varied and unique as the individual
Runeworker him- / herself… with that in mind, we are not limiting the
Rune-sets to any particular Row. The Runeworker is free to choose his or her
preferred system, be it the popularly used „Common Germanic Row“ of 24
Runes, the standard „Younger Row“, the „Armanen Row“, The „Anglo-Frisian
Row“ of 29 Runes (in correspondence to the Old English Rune Poem) or the
expanded row of 33, or the „Teutonic Runes“ (a 24-Rune expansion of the
Armanen Row).
Each set is fashioned to fit the particular needs of the Worker (as is
possible, within reasonable means)- Runes can be carved or burned into the
tine, and can be colored or left uncolored. (when you order, please be sure
to let us know your preferences at
wares@irminenschaft.net)
Rune-sets are hand-crafted in a traditional manner and with consideration to
Lunar phenomena (for the most magan-full and effective tines). While we
strive to fill orders in as timely fashion as possible, please allow us up
to three to four weeks to complete and ship.
We also offer
jute (natural, unbleached and un-dyed finish) drawstring pouches in two
sizes (the same that are included with each set).

Hammers
Rømersdal Hammer
This Hammer is modeled after one found near Rømersdal, Bornholm, Denmark
(it is currently on display at Roskilde Museum in Roskilde, Denmark).
As pictured, this Hammer is about 1.25'' high and 1.5'' across and is made
of sterling silver. Each comes with a 24'' leather clasp-fitted thong.
We also have this hammer in pewter, which is slightly larger than
its silver counterpart. Pewter hammers come with an extra-long black chord
(measuring 27.5'' to allow slack for tying).
PEWTER:
$21.00US -includes domestic shipping. International

Please make any checks and money orders payable to: Irminen-Gesellschaft.
This pewter Hammer measures approximately 1.5” tall (from top of ring to point)
and 1.5” across, with a leather cord (tied at the end and hangs 15”). It has a
good weight to it, and the detailing is similar to that of the Rømersdal
Hammer we offer –but unlike the Rømersdal Hammer pictured above, the detail
appears on both sides of the pendant.
$21.00US -includes domestic shipping. International

Urnes Hammer

This (pewter) Hammer takes its design and name after an ornate axe that
was found in Mammen, Norway (circa 1000CE). Measuring 1.75" in height by 2" in
width, The Mammen Hammer is intricately detailed and has a good (but not
uncomfortable) weight to it. A knotwork design (not pictured) ornaments the
reverse.

Sterling Silver Hammer
Hand-cast from sterling silver, this expertly Heathen-made Hammer is
sharply detailed and measures 1.5" X 1.5" ...as you would expect, it has a
nice and sturdy -but not uncomfortable- weight to it. It can be purchased as a
separate piece or in combination with the leather-and-silver

1.5” X1.25” and comes with a 22” , clasp-fitted chain. Not a flat-stamped
piece, the detail is raised and has a true, „knotted“ feel.

Ebreszeichan
The Ebreszeichan („sign of the boar“) has been a symbol of protection since
ancient times, and is still held as sacred to followers of the Wanâ, and to
those dedicated to Ing Frô in particular.
This pewter pendant is 1.25” in diameter and comes with a leather cord (tied
at the end and hangs 15”).
$21.00US -includes domestic shipping. International
orders may require additional postage- please inquire before ordering!
Please make any checks and money orders payable to: Irminen-Gesellschaft.
Torcs
This 21" leather torc is expertly made by the same artisan who crafted
the silver hammer above. The thong is of woven leather, and is heavy and
tight. It closes with a surprisingly sturdy hook clasp which itself is
capped with knotwork-ornamented ends (it stays nice and tightly secured).
The boar-ends grip the ring of the hammer (as pictured below) or other
potential pendant-- between their teeth, and silver serpentine details
accent the throng (these can be moved, though remain snug in place). ALL of
the metal pieces are of a sturdy weight and are made from sterling silver,
not pewter
...as a combination, the hammer and torc have a nice weight to them, but
are not by any means uncomfortable- it doesn't feel like an anchor around
your neck, you simply know it's there!
